Orchaa - as promised
My second and last stop on my train trip from Bangalore to New Delhi was Orchaa. After getting off the train at Jahansi and paying the collective rickshaw driver the same price as the others (not the tourist price we had negocitated before leaving the train station), I was at Orchaa.
Orchaa is a calm and quite place with beautiful monuments and simple nice people living and not too overwelmed with tourist and the will to rip them off.
The life of Orchaa is organised around its river, and gives the whole scenary its peace and harmony.
I visited Orchaa's monuments almost alone, if it hadn't been for a "guide" that followed me for a good hour. Very nice man, but that day I had decided to visit alone and not to pay for this sudden friendship. After a nice exchange, saddly our orads had to part because of insufficient fundings to continue our friendship... Neverthelesse Orchaa's palaces are magnificent.
And the details of the architecture are wonderful.
Even our friend the cow was here.
Spending a couple of days in Orchaa is a must!
