First impressions of Delhi

After another night in the train, I was finaly arriving in Delhi. I had a couple of days to discover the city, arrange for our trip to Leh and wait for my brother and sister to land at New Delhi airport.

My second imperssion of Delhi was calm. the first one was that of any major train station and tourist spot in India... noise, people and many people at you to bring you into thier hotel. But once out of the central train station and out of the very popular Pahraj, I felt New Delhi was so akwardly calm. Far less car jams and crazy car drivers, less people on teh sidewalks etc etc than in Bagalore. thanls to hectic and saturated Bangalore, I was at ease in New Delhi.

I went around visiting the streeets, happy to be set in a fix place for a few days after all this travelling, happy to be seeing my brother and sister soon and soo very happy to not be alone any more on my trip in less than 48hours.

At night time, like a few young Indians of New Delhi, I went to Connaught Place and enjoyed the lower night time temperatures.

Even the cows in Delhi are calm.
